Dubai Metro Rail Project

Another chapter will be added in the history books, as the metro will make its debut along the vast desert and along the busy streets of Dubai. Today, being bestowed with the best in infrastructure, Dubai has been recognised as one of the most advanced cities in the world and has thus attracted investors internationally making it a financial capital. This has resulted in the influx of people.

The Dubai Metro system, currently under construction, aims to ease this congestion and reduce passenger travelling time.4 Lines are being constructed:

The Dubai Metro will be one of the most advanced urban rail systems in the world and will be the catalyst for tourism, financial and economic growth. Investment costs for the full system have been assessed at a grand total of about AE$14.3bn, including civil works, stations, system fixed equipment, trains, engineering and financing.

  • Single largest automatic driverless system in the world

  • The underground stations for the Red Line are Burjuman, Union Square, Al Rigga and Port Sayed
